Meet The League  

The Abilene Preservation League is a 501-C3 Non-profit that specializes in educating, advocating, preserving and protecting historic structures in Abilene, Texas. Our dedication is to seek the best methods of melding our heritage with modern amenities. This allows the spaces to be utilized without limitations while maintaining the history of the location.

In the 49 years of preservation, our past projects continue to be vessels of knowledge and curiosity for the community and its visitors. Our legacy will carry over into the forthcoming generations of preservationists as it did from our past leaders to our present day leadership.

Who are we?

the staff comprises of three total employees - one full-time, two part-time. In the last year, our team has been able to create a consistent online presence, a streamlined organization infrastructure, new programming and the beginnings of brand identity. Through these attributes we have molded our values and goals to align with those of the founding board.

Our Board of Directors come from a swath of skills, professions and expertise that benefits us by certifiably administering a variety of projects from various perspectives, views and opinions during the decision making process. Because of this we have been able to grow and expand our reach in the last year.
