Abilene Preservation League Home | Historic Overlay Incentive Program

The Abilene Preservation League established a program in April 2008 offering assistance to those considering applying for Historic Overlay Zoning (HO Zoning) for their home or business.

This is in the form of paying up to $150 of the application fee (usually half of the $300 application fee) for the City of Abilene Historic Zoning process. The amount is paid upon completion of the process and acceptance by the Abilene Landmarks Commission. Either Homeowners or Business Owners may apply.
